Domaines Ott Chateau Romassan
Domaines Ott Chateau Romassan
A beautifully clear, pale peach hue and a fresh, fruity nose. The aromas evolve towards notes of apricot and grapefruit. The wine opens up with delicate spicy and citrus notes intertwined with aromas of white stone fruits. The palate is fresh, appetising, complex and characterised by its well-defined structure. A refreshing touch of acidity on the finish creates lovely breadth and delightful lingering flavours.
The wine maintains the classic freshness of Provencal rose, whilst a short time in old oak casks provides depth and complexity, allowing it to stand up to food wonderfully - especially grilled vegetables and Asian cuisine.
Domaines Ott was founded in 1912 by Marcel Ott, an agricultural engineer from Alsace who dreamed of establishing a great wine estate near the Mediterranean. Today, the wineries are owned and managed by Champagne Louis Roederer and produce some of the world's most prestigious wines, but particularly rose wines, made at distinctively different estates in Bandol and Cotes de Provence appellations.
